This is a small vintage rectangular leather case which closes with a buckle.
Its stitching is very good.
The buckles and straps which would attach to the D-rings of the saddle are in good order.
There is some staining on the back of the case, presumably from horse sweat.
Inside there is a double hinged plated sandwich tin.
This is stamped inside with a trumpet and banner and "James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield, 916S" The tin is in good condition, although there is some rubbing to the plating on its lower back edge.
Dimensions of case 5⅛" (13cm) wide x 3½" (9cm) tall x 1¼" (3.2cm) deep
