Focus on Maths is a mathematics-strategy practice series. The series features six mathematics strategies, each containing both a teacher guide and student workbook. Each student book in the series provides brief instruction and concentrated practice for students in one targeted mathematics strategy. The teacher guides provide instructions for using the student workbook effectively in the classroom. The guide enables teachers to explain mathematical theory to a whole class or individual student with sections for both student self-assessment and teacher assessment. Each guide contains mathematics strategy tips for the teacher, with tips for additional discussion related to understanding and using the mathematics strategy.
