Berlin – their third full length – is the quintessence of power and groove. Pure rock’n’roll, the 11 tracks of the album have got deep roots in the 70s, and at the same time they drew the sap out of the more easy-listening sound of the 80s and the stoner heaviness of the 90s. Yet Berlin is no derivative album at all! Starting with the fuzzy Lord of the Sky, going through some super-groovy songs - Last Living Dinosaur and Stolen Dream – and some bluesy pearls – Pale Blue Eyes and The Old Man – to culminate with the almost maidenish Into the Night, the latest work of the Teutonic trio is an album with a distinct personality and it does not sound as a revival of catchy sounds and highly successful trends.
