Gullfoss is one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, but seeing it frozen in time is a rare spectacle. On this particular winter day, the conditions were perfect—bitterly cold yet clear, allowing me to capture the waterfall’s raw energy as ice and mist merged into a dreamlike scene. Finding a unique perspective at such a well-photographed location is always a challenge, but stepping away from the usual vantage points, I framed this shot to highlight the intricate layers of ice clinging to the cliffs. The deep blues and crisp whites create a mesmerizing contrast, making this image feel both tranquil and immensely powerful.
