A wonderfully unique and surrealist hand-shaped chair handmade in the 1970s. Elongated fingers covered in black velvet form the back of the chair, encapsulating the sitter within their slender grasp. The chair rises on a circular chrome base. There are no visible maker’s marks. A fabulous piece of functional surrealism for the home/office. Huge presence in a room and amazing conversation starter. Intriguing piece to anyone who sees it. Great piece of art. Small blemishes throughout the piece where velvet has worn way. All wear is photographed.
