For fans of found objects and off-white exuberance, the remnants of badge from the "Four-County Fire Convention" held in Slatington, PA on June 17, 1905. Both the main pin and the fragment are about 3 inches wide. Great graphic of a horse-drawn fire wagon printed in halftone on the button and sewn to remnants of ribbon and wiry decorative trim. Separate fragment with the location and date. The Convention was a major event, pulling from Lehigh, Carbon, Monroe and Northampton counties. Slatington issued invitations on miniature school slates and organized a big parade.
